Overview:

  • The Principal Lead Partnerships Secretariat is pivotal in driving strategic coordination, stakeholder engagement, and administrative support to ensure the effective delivery of policies and projects aimed at enhancing health and wellbeing outcomes for South Australia’s Aboriginal population.
  • This role is instrumental in developing and supporting the implementation of comprehensive, system-wide policies and strategies to improve health outcomes for South Australian Aboriginal peoples.
  • The role undertakes strategic coordination through the alignment and execution of initiatives that advance Closing the Gap and the SA Aboriginal Health Care Framework, ensuring cohesive policy development and implementation.
  • The role builds and sustain common goals, provides sound and trusted advice on Government policy and administrative issues and identifying nuances, builds strong relationships between government officials and Aboriginal representatives, facilitating effective collaboration and communication.
  • The role delivers comprehensive secretariat services, including scheduling meetings, preparing and coordinating papers and reports, maintaining documentation, and working with co-chairs of multiple committees to design and conduct effective partnership meetings aligned to objectives.
  • The role has a key focus on tracking the progress of actions and initiatives, holding participants accountable by requesting regular updates and ensuring effective reporting from senior officials and Aboriginal stakeholders.
  • The role acts as a key connector across government committees and partnership arrangements, ensuring strategic alignment and cohesive advice on Aboriginal health matters at local, state, and national levels.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

  • A ‘National Police Certificate’ NPC (also known as a ‘Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check’ NCCHC)  for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

  • Inter and intrastate travel will be required.
