About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality nursing services. As an experienced clinician, you will provide expert care across a variety of health service settings, supporting the professional growth of less experienced staff while ensuring excellence in consumer outcomes. You will take ownership of your practice, uphold professional standards, and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment where continuity and consistency of care are prioritised.
In this leadership role, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to guide and support the team, assist in implementing best-practice initiatives, and contribute to the effective management of the service. Your portfolio will encompass key operational responsibilities, including workforce planning, rostering, recruitment, and performance management, ensuring optimal service delivery. About You
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) who is committed to providing high-quality care while supporting and leading a dynamic team. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Qualifications & Experience: Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding a current practising certificate, with at least three years of post-registration experience.
- Leadership & Teamwork: Proven ability to supervise and support student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Skills & Abilities: Strong communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and work with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge & Commitment to Best Practice: Sound understanding of relevant legislation, standards, codes of practice, and quality improvement systems within a healthcare setting, along with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
