About the Role:
As a Registered Midwife (RN/M1), you will be accountable for your own standards of midwifery care and for safely delegating tasks to others, while consolidating your skills through continuous professional development and practical experience. This role supports your growth from novice to proficient practice, ensuring you deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care.
As a Clinical Midwife (RN/M2C), you will bring consolidated experience and may take on additional responsibilities including portfolio management aligned with your career development plan. You will accept full accountability for your practice, support less experienced staff through guidance and mentorship, and work collaboratively within the clinical team to promote best practices and positive patient outcomes.
In both roles, you will contribute to a supportive and professional environment focused on continuous improvement and excellent midwifery care.
What We’re Looking For:
RN/M1
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of midwifery practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
- Experience in the use of computer packages e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel.
RN/M2C
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Registered Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience.
- Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of midwifery practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
- Experience in the leadership and direction of student midwives and less experienced registered midwives.
- Experience in the use of computer packages e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel.

Applicant Information
This is a part time vacancy, working 56 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
