About the Role

You will deliver exceptional clinical care to Emergency Department patients, ensuring the highest standards of individual performance while contributing strong clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team. Your role will be pivotal in coordinating and delivering patient-centred care that is both timely and effective, helping to improve health outcomes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

You will also play an important role in the professional development of future healthcare professionals by actively teaching medical students, trainee medical officers, and, where appropriate, nursing and allied health staff. In addition, you will engage in clinical audits, quality and safety initiatives, risk management activities, and participate in research and continuous medical education, all aimed at driving excellence and innovation in patient care.

About You

You are an experienced and highly skilled medical professional with a strong background in critical care and emergency medicine. Your clinical expertise, leadership, and commitment to quality patient care enable you to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

  • Holds general registration with the Medical Board of Australia and has 5+ years’ experience in Critical Care Medicine.

  • Demonstrates advanced clinical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work independently and lead teams.

  • Experienced in supervising, teaching, and mentoring medical staff at various levels within emergency settings.

  • Knowledgeable in emergency medicine management, quality improvement, workplace safety, and relevant legislation and policies.
