About the Role
As a Research Nurse within the Cardiology Heart Research Team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and delivering high-quality clinical trial activities. Reporting to the Nurse Lead Heart & Lung / Clinical Trial Manager and working closely with Study Principal Investigators, you'll be responsible for coordinating and conducting participant visits, scheduling procedures, and ensuring the highest standard of care and safety for trial participants and their families.
This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of innovative cardiovascular research that directly contributes to improving patient outcomes. You’ll engage in participant recruitment, ethics applications, adverse event reporting, and liaise with the wider research and clinical team to ensure trials run smoothly and in accordance with national and international research standards. About You
You are a dedicated and experienced Cardiology Research Nurse with a strong clinical background and a passion for advancing cardiac care. You thrive in a dynamic research environment, working collaboratively while demonstrating initiative and leadership.

Qualified and experienced – Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate and a Graduate Diploma in Cardiac Nursing Science, with at least 2 years’ experience in cath labs or interventional cardiology programs.

Clinical and research expertise – Skilled in phlebotomy, cannulation, ECGs, and delivering innovative care in acute or outpatient settings.

Strong communicator and team player – Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to fostering team collaboration and staff development.

Organised and adaptable – High-level initiative and flexibility, proficient in Microsoft Office, and capable of managing competing priorities and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
