Are you a skilled perioperative nurse leader ready to step into a pivotal management role? We’re seeking a Theatre Nurse Unit Manager to oversee surgical nursing services and lead a high-performing team in delivering safe, coordinated, and high-quality care across the theatre environment.
About the Role:
As Theatre Nurse Unit Manager, you will apply your advanced clinical knowledge and leadership experience to coordinate the delivery of perioperative care within the health unit. Your key responsibilities include line management, operational oversight, and the leadership of nursing, midwifery, and multidisciplinary staff to ensure seamless, evidence-based patient care. You will be accountable for achieving clinical outcomes, addressing practice and policy gaps, and fostering a positive, high-functioning team culture. With a focus on safety, quality, and performance, this role is critical to ensuring excellent outcomes for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.

Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience.

Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing and midwifery practice in accordance with the relevant standards.

Experience in management and leadership roles.

Experience in the supervision of students, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses and midwives.

Applicant Information
This is a part time vacancy, working 72 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
