Overview

Are you passionate about improving the lives of older people through meaningful engagement and activities? We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Diversional Therapist to join our Residential Aged Care team at Maitland Hospital Chappell Wing.

In this rewarding role, you will coordinate and deliver social, recreational, and individualised activity programs that support the emotional and cognitive wellbeing of aged care residents. You’ll work closely with nursing staff, volunteers, and residents to promote quality of life and dignity in care.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience working with elderly clients or in health-related roles
  • Ability to plan, deliver, and evaluate activity programs
  • Strong communication, empathy, and team collaboration skills
  • Experience in aged care, diversional therapy, or Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (desirable)
