About the Role

We’re seeking a passionate and hands-on Horticulturalist to join our dedicated team in maintaining and enhancing the grounds across our rehabilitative care sites. In this role, you'll be responsible for the upkeep of lawns, gardens, courtyards, and landscaped areas through tasks such as propagating plants, operating horticultural machinery, and managing irrigation systems. You'll also identify and control pests and diseases, apply specialised fertilisers and treatments, and contribute to the maintenance of horticultural equipment and facilities.

Beyond grounds keeping, you’ll play a vital role in supporting social and therapeutic horticulture programs for patients. This includes participating in therapy sessions, maintaining a customer-focused approach to patient care, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams. You’ll have the opportunity to be part of a supportive environment that values safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork while helping enhance patient wellbeing through the healing power of nature.

About You

You’re a motivated and skilled horticultural professional with a strong practical background and a passion for creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces.

  • Minimum of 3 years' hands-on gardening or horticulture experience

  • Trade-level certificate in horticulture highly regarded

  • Confident operating petrol and electric garden equipment, including mowers and chainsaws

  • Safety-conscious, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
