Analytical Powerhouse: Reporting & Budget Analyst, SA Health
As a Reporting and Budget Management Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in driving financial success at SA Health. Utilising your exceptional analytical skills, you'll prepare complex financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to inform strategic decision-making. Your expertise will directly impact the organisation's ability to optimise resource allocation and achieve its goals.
About the role:
Reporting to the Corporate Manager, this role is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of financial business advice and providing:
- Effective delivery of information in managing financial performance, monitoring, reporting and analysis,
- Effective development and monitoring of savings initiatives, KPIs and FTE performance,
- Effective budget development and forecasting
Duties for the role will include:
- Provide assistance in monitoring budget processes ensuring deadlines are achieved,
- Assisting in ensuring that comprehensive processes are in place to support budget development, which is aligned to SA Health budget principles,
- Identifying factors likely to impact on the financial performance of the health service in future years,
- Providing regular analysis and interpretation of the performance against agreed key performance objectives, identifying variances in financial results and providing advice on immediate and long-term corrective strategies,
- Providing advice and direction that supports decision making in line with health service objectives and seek to ensure priority needs are balanced against available resources and opportunities
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, economics or related financial / business management field or studying towards this,
- Demonstrated skills and commercial acumen in analysing and interpreting data, communicating the information concisely and accurately, in either verbal or written format to accommodate the key stakeholder audience,
- Demonstrated capacity to undertake high level financial research and analysis; identify and resolve strategic and operational issues with practical and effective solutions; exercise lateral, creative and strategic thinking, independent judgement and significant delegated authority; drive and implement change and significantly contribute to change processes applying sound analytical skills and strategic thinking ability,
- Experience in providing positive leadership in a senior financial management role in a climate of reform and continuing change, with demonstrated success in increasing the effectiveness and accountability of the organisation,
- Demonstrated experience in the strategic management of financial resources, undertaking financial business analysis, developing financial strategies to improve financial performance and providing concise written financial reports
