About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and motivated AHP2 Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary team within the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN). In this engaging and rewarding role, you’ll deliver high-quality occupational therapy services across a variety of acute, subacute, rehabilitation, community, and ambulatory care settings—including the Royal Adelaide Hospital, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre, and the Repat Health Precinct. You’ll also play an active part in departmental education, quality improvement, and service planning activities, all aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and strengthening healthcare delivery.

As a proficient and experienced clinician, you’ll have the opportunity to mentor junior therapists, supervise students, and contribute to shaping the next generation of occupational therapy professionals. This is a rotational position, offering variety and professional growth through placements across CALHN sites based on service needs. If you’re a flexible, collaborative, and forward-thinking Occupational Therapist with a commitment to patient-centred care, we’d love to hear from you.

About You

You’re a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist who thrives in dynamic environments and is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. You bring a strong clinical background, a collaborative approach, and the ability to adapt to a variety of settings and challenges. To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Qualifications & Experience: A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, along with a minimum of three years' clinical experience across acute, sub-acute, rehabilitation, or community settings.

  • Advanced Clinical Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage complex patient presentations, apply evidence-based interventions, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives with reduced supervision.

  • Strong Communication & Teamwork: Proven ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members, foster collaborative relationships, and provide clinical supervision to junior staff and students.

  • Adaptability & Professionalism: Excellent organisational skills, flexibility to meet changing service demands, commitment to reflective practice, and confidence using digital health systems such as SUNRISE.
