As Nurse Consultant for the new Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit at Noarlunga Hospital, you'll be at the forefront of innovative patient care. About the role:
Duties for the role will include
- Providing direct, expert clinical nursing care, selecting and implementing different therapeutic interventions, and evaluating progress for a defined patient population
- Contributing expert nursing assessment and advice to local clinical teams to achieve integrated nursing care within a risk management framework.
- Providing leadership and direction, acting as a role model, mentor, consultant, and resource person for the nursing team.
- Maintaining a strong and positive working relationship with senior multidisciplinary team leadership to promote collaboration and cohesiveness
About you:
- Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and holding a current practicing certificate.
- Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice.
- Proven experience in working in the Mental Health Rehabilitation setting and/or with consumers with complex mental health care needs
- Passionate about mental health rehabilitation and committed to delivering high-quality, safe care to consumers with complex needs.
