About the role
As an Operational Services Officer (Laboratory), you will play a vital part in supporting the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services across SA Health. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for sorting and accessioning specimens, ensuring accurate data entry, and assisting with the preparation, storage, and transport of samples in line with established protocols.
You will also act as a key point of contact for internal and external enquiries, providing professional and timely support to colleagues and healthcare providers. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic laboratory team where your skills and attention to detail will directly contribute to patient care outcomes.

You are a detail-oriented and reliable team player with a commitment to delivering high-quality support in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and maintain accuracy under pressure.

Proven experience in pathology laboratory operations, data entry, and handling customer enquiries professionally.

Excellent teamwork, communication, and customer service skills, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Confident using computers, databases, and laboratory information systems, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and escalation.
