About the role
Are you an experienced administrator with a keen eye for detail and a passion for supporting healthcare excellence? The Administration Officer position within SA Pathology's Anatomical Pathology section at the Royal Adelaide Hospital offers a dynamic opportunity to transcribe critical diagnostic reports and assist in the timely and accurate delivery of pathology services. You'll provide a vital link between medical, scientific, and technical staff, ensuring efficient communication and high standards of clerical support.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve handling digital dictation, managing laboratory enquiries, and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain quality and continuity in service delivery. With a focus on accuracy, discretion, and professionalism, this role plays an essential part in supporting patient outcomes in one of South Australia’s leading healthcare environments.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll meet the following essential requirements:

A typing speed of 70–80 WPM with 98% accuracy and proficiency in audio typing.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work autonomously or within a team.

Demonstrated experience handling confidential information in a medical or administrative setting.

Sound knowledge of medical terminology and data entry systems, with a commitment to high-quality customer service.
Applicants must hold a current National Police Clearance and a Working With Children Check (WWCC) in line with SA Health requirements.
