About the Role

As a Clinical Nurse, you will deliver high-quality nursing and/or midwifery services across diverse health service settings, drawing on your consolidated experience and/or further study. This role supports your development from a competent to a proficient practitioner, while fostering a culture of accountability for practice standards and mentoring less experienced staff.

Predominantly clinical in nature, this position also provides opportunities to take on portfolio responsibilities aligned with your career development plan and organisational priorities. You will work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the delivery of patient-centred care and the continuous improvement of clinical practices.

About You

You will be a dedicated and experienced nursing or midwifery professional, committed to delivering high-quality care and supporting the development of others in a clinical environment. Your strong clinical expertise and leadership skills will enable you to excel in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.

Key requirements:

  • Qualifications and registration: Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse and/or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding (or eligible to hold) a current practising certificate; mental health qualifications desirable.

  • Clinical experience and competence: Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience, with demonstrated competence in relevant nursing/midwifery practice and experience leading less experienced staff.

  • Interpersonal and leadership skills: Effective communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to mentor and support team members in a collaborative setting.

  • Knowledge and innovation: Strong understanding of relevant legislation, standards, and contemporary healthcare issues, with the ability to apply quality improvement practices and adapt to clinical challenges.
