Overview
We are now accepting applications for the 2025/2026 annual intake for casual Services Assistants to join our dedicated services team at Laura and District Hospital.
As a Services Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of catering, cleaning, and general housekeeping within our health unit. Your duties will include:
- Preparing, serving, and delivering food to clients with care and efficiency.
- Ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of our facilities to create a safe and welcoming environment.
- Undertaking laundry duties to maintain hygiene standards.
Required Skills and Experience:
We're looking for candidates with the following skills and abilities:
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Flexibility in adapting to different work settings and schedules.
- Demonstrated capability to meet deadlines and handle time-sensitive tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a knack for relating to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in sensitive situations.
- Effective written, verbal, and numeracy skills.
While prior experience is beneficial, we welcome candidates with limited experience who are eager to learn and grow. Basic knowledge in the following areas is desirable:
- Housekeeping, cooking/catering, and laundry.
- Understanding of safe working conditions, food safety standards, and infection control protocols.
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Important Information
This vacancy is for multiple casual positions, working hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked on a casual shift by shift basis.
