Overview:

Working closely with all Associate Directors within the  Data, Analytics, and Insights (DAI) branch, the Associate Director - Data Assets will be instrumental in building the branch's capabilities in Data Integration, Management, Business Intelligence, and Analytics solutions space. This position is accountable for the daily operations within these critical areas, specifically encompassing:

  • Managing the technical teams within the data operations space including Data Integration & Management, and Data Applications & Systems
  • Development and management of data flows into the curated data assets
  • Building and managing data capabilities through data warehousing and other architectures
  • Building business intelligence and analytics architecture and capabilities
  • Automation of data ingestion and reporting
  • Supporting various data requests
  • Ensuring data architecture alignment to SA Health enterprise architecture.

Furthermore, the Associate Director will lead the development of the Quality Innovation Performance (QIP) Hub and support enhancing data release functions, including the implementation of new models for open data and authorized user access.

A crucial aspect of the Associate Director - Data Assets' role will be to provide expert guidance in the execution of the overall DAI Branch strategy and work plan. This includes fostering and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with all customers, collaborators, and stakeholders. The position also entails providing high-level leadership, guidance, and direction to all employees, ensuring a supportive and collaborative environment that encourages professional development and learning.
