About the Role:
The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Forensic Mental Health Service to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals navigating complex mental health challenges.
The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is a leading provider of public healthcare services in South Australia.
The Forensic Mental Health Service is a multidisciplinary service that consists of Forensic Inpatient Service - secure psychiatric beds, Out-patient Service and Psychiatric Clinics, Prison In-Reach Service, Community Team and Court Assessment Service.
This role is within the Forensic Intellectual Disability and Acquired Brain Injury (ID/ABI) Unit – Tarnanthi, which provides a range of recovery-orientated treatment services, therapy and educative programs. Under limited supervision, the Senior Occupational Therapist will utilise assessment and treatment approaches, for the planning implementation and evaluation of both individualised and group programs.
In this senior role, you'll lead comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, develop innovative treatment programmes, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver person-centred care. You'll mentor junior staff whilst working with clients who have complex presentations requiring specialised expertise and cultural sensitivity.
Appointment to the role will be at the AHP2 or AHP3 level, dependent on the level of experience.
To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
