Join our Podiatry Team and provide exceptional administrative services
Podiatry Services at Flinders Medical Centre provides care assistance to inpatients and outpatients considered at ‘high risk’ of lower limb complications.
About the role:
This role is responsible to the Podiatry Manager for ensuring an efficient, comprehensive, patient and consumer orientated administrative service to the Podiatry Department at Flinders Medical Centre.
Duties for the role will include:
- Appropriately responding to telephone enquiries.
- Managing inpatient and outpatient appointment bookings.
- Assisting the Podiatry Paramedical Aide when required.
- Prepare store requisitions and ensures receipt of goods by processing invoices digital programs.
- The Podiatry Administrative Assistant is also required participate in staff meetings and strategic and operational planning for the department.
About you:
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in a professional and courteous manner with all internal and external consumers
- Ability to liaise and relate well with empathy to a variety of people, including elderly and disabled clients and to handle enquiries from a range of staff, patients and visitors
- Ability to undertake (or capacity to learn) data management, manipulation, extraction and minor systems development of EMR
- The ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision and to prioritise work to meet deadlines, manage tasks simultaneously whilst working with a high level of accuracy and detail
