About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Yarrow Place team as a Social Worker where you will be responsible for:
- Provide specialist counselling, case management, and group work services for people who have been subject to rape and sexual assault.
- Manage complex client issues and advocate across health, legal, and community sectors, including writing reports for the justice system.
- Design and deliver staff training, community education, and nationally recognised programs.
- Lead and contribute to strategic projects, service planning, research, and evaluation initiatives.
- Promote a collaborative, safe, and respectful team culture while actively supporting continuous service improvement.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- A high level of written and oral communication skills including proven ability to communicate effectively with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and contribute towards a cohesive team culture.
- Demonstrated capacity to provide crisis and long term counselling and group work services.
- Proven ability to organise, coordinate, consult, liaise and communicate effectively.
- Demonstrated experience working in crisis and trauma situations.
