The Service provides Family Based Treatment (FBT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Enhanced for Adolescents (CBTEA) as the primary evidence based treatment modalities. Full training and ongoing clinical supervision are provided. About the role: 

Reporting to the Team Manager SEDS, some of your duties for the role will include:

  • Undertaking a clinical caseload and providing individual support to adolescent clients with a diagnosed eating disorder and their family/supports
  • Providing consultation and assistance to identified teams and organisations to meet the mental health care needs of the clients
  • Undertaking assessments and planning recovery focussed services for individual clients, their family/supports, including bio-psycho-social assessment and mental state examination, including risk assessment of all clients referred to the service
  • Delivering non-discriminatory treatment and support that is sensitive to the social and cultural values of the client, the client’s family, carers and the community

About you:

  • Must be highly motivated and have the ability to engage with clients who have extremely high service needs
  • Competent in applying cognitive, behavioural and other evidence-based treatment methodologies
  • Experience in working with a range of government and non-government agencies
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience
  • Experience of working with clients diagnosed with an eating disorder and related conditions
  • Experience working with children or adolescents and their family/supports

To be considered for the RN2C (Clinical Nurse) level you must have at least three years, full time equivalent, post registration experience with experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.

This is a single vacancy, with multiple possible appointment classifications. The successful applicants will be appointed in the position appropriate to their skills, qualifications, and experience.

Please note that this position is multi-classed as either a AHP2 or RN/M2C and classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.
