About the role
As a Technical Officer (TGO 1), you will play a vital part in delivering a high-quality, multi-disciplined pathology service within our regional laboratory. Working both independently and as part of a team, you will use your expertise and technical skills to support a wide range of laboratory functions and ensure the effective and accurate processing of specimens and data.
You will apply standardised practices and procedures, utilising your knowledge and experience to perform diverse technical activities and contribute to technical project work as needed. Your role will be essential in maintaining high standards across the laboratory, supporting both daily operations and ongoing service improvement initiatives.
We will train you in all disciplines
- Experience is preferred, but not essential
- Reimbursement can be sought for relocation in line with relevant guidelines

About You
To excel as a Technical Officer, you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Hold a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in an approved and recognised qualification.

Proven ability to work independently, follow instructions, and deliver high-quality results within deadlines.

Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with sound written and verbal communication.

Demonstrated laboratory experience and solid knowledge of laboratory principles, science, and Work Health & Safety.
