Lead Meaningful Change as Casemix Team Leader with the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network!

The Casemix Team Leader will drive the operational and strategic management of Southern Adelaide Local Health Network's (SALHN) Casemix Activity Based Funding (ABF) service, coordinating essential information on acute and sub-acute inpatients, emergency attendances, and outpatient services. This pivotal position involves establishing data sources, analysing complex healthcare data, and working closely with patient costing team whilst supervising dedicated Casemix staff. You'll play a crucial role in liaising with clinical units across the network regarding care models and funding changes, directly contributing to the effective monitoring and review of clinical services that impact patient outcomes.

About the role: 

Reporting to the Casemix and ABF Manager, some of your duties as the Casemix Team Leader may involve: 

  • Ensuring that service provision and the activities of the Casemix and ABF service are person and family centred and professionally and effectively conducted by contributing to the development of an integrated team approach and culture which is highly responsive the to the needs of our consumers. 
  • Providing sound policy advice and information in responding to Ministerial and other enquiries. 
  • Overseeing the Casemix ABF function across SALHN, ensuring adequate resources are available, mentoring staff and coordinating staff development activities. 

About you:

  • Experience within a hospital Casemix/ABF service, preferably a tertiary hospital.
  • Experience in the leadership of a small team. 
  • Experience in data extraction and management, interpretation and analysis, including compiling databases and generating meaningful results to assist in hospital management. 
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills in a complex environment and the ability to foster team participation and involvement. 
  • Ability to compile, analyse and present data from a range of sources in a clear and logical manner.
