Port Augusta Hospital and Regional Health Service
The Port Augusta Hospital and Regional Health Service is a large regional hospital that provides a wide range of services including emergency, general and surgical, maternity, outpatient, and outreach services. The hospital has 58 beds including flex and monitored beds. The Port Augusta Hospital also has chemotherapy services and has a Renal Dialysis Unit and a Paediatric Department, both of which are the largest outside of Adelaide. Our staff work in close partnership with community health services and Aboriginal health providers, to ensure that optimum care is delivered to all areas of the community. About the Role:
As a Registered Midwife, you will deliver high-quality nursing and/or midwifery services across a variety of health care settings. In this role, you’ll grow from a novice to a proficient practitioner, continuously building your skills and confidence through ongoing professional development and real-world experience. You’ll take accountability for the standard of care you provide and for tasks delegated to others -ensuring safe, person-centred care every step of the way. This is your opportunity to make a lasting impact while advancing your midwifery career in a supportive and rewarding environment.
About You:
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances)
