About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Level 2 specialising in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) to provide expert nursing care and support for patients living with this chronic condition. As the first point of contact for patients, families, and healthcare providers, you will play a vital role in coordinating care, offering clinical advice, and acting as a trusted source of knowledge. Your expertise will also contribute to advancing clinical and research programs, including therapeutic trials, aimed at improving patient outcomes.

In this role, you will facilitate seamless communication and collaboration between Primary Care Physicians and Hospital Specialists within a multidisciplinary shared care model. Your proactive approach will focus on preventing hospital admissions by managing disease flares early through outpatient interventions, helping to reduce morbidity and improve the quality of life for patients. About You

You are a confident and experienced Registered Nurse with strong leadership skills and a commitment to high-quality patient care. You thrive working both autonomously and within multidisciplinary teams. To excel in this role, you will have:

  • Current registration with the Nursing Board of Australia and a practising certificate

  • At least 3 years post-registration experience with proven clinical competence

  • Strong leadership abilities, including mentoring junior staff and effective communication skills

  • Solid knowledge of relevant legislation, quality improvement systems, and contemporary nursing practices
