  • Total Indicative Remuneration Salary  MD-2  $365,798 - $713,692 p.a. (pro rata) (Subject to private practice agreement)
  • Temporary up to 3 years and part-time working 3.67 hours per week 

About the Role

Are you passionate about medical education and ready to make a meaningful impact on the development of our future medical workforce? This dynamic role within the Medical Education Unit offers the opportunity to take a lead in shaping, delivering, and continuously improving the training, education, and wellbeing of PGY2+ Trainee Medical Officers (TMOs). You will work closely with a dedicated team to ensure the highest standards of medical education are met, aligned with the Australian Medical Council Framework and AHPRA requirements. From developing comprehensive orientation and education programs to overseeing performance management and pastoral care, this role is central to the support and success of our junior doctors.

In this rewarding position, you will also contribute to maintaining CALHN’s accreditation status, support Medical Education Officers in their delivery of training, and liaise with Term Supervisors to ensure TMOs are guided and assessed effectively. Your leadership will help embed simulation-based learning and promote a positive, responsive educational environment. About You

You are a passionate medical professional with a strong commitment to education, supervision, and the ongoing support of Trainee Medical Officers. Your collaborative approach, leadership skills, and clinical expertise position you to thrive in this rewarding role.

  • Specialist qualifications with current clinical practice and registration with AHPRA

  • Demonstrated experience in TMO training, supervision, assessment, and pastoral care

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead, support and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams

  • In-depth knowledge of AMC, SAMET, and pre-vocational training frameworks and accreditation standards
