About the Role

As a Medical Physicist, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, precise and high-quality radiation therapy services that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Working within the Central and Northern Adelaide Local Health Network, you’ll be part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team dedicated to excellence in patient care. Guided by a Principal Medical Physicist, you’ll apply your expertise in radiation oncology to ensure the reliable operation of complex equipment, software and techniques, while also contributing to the continual improvement of medical physics services.

You will be involved in maintaining and advancing routine and specialist services, undertaking complex testing, and supporting the professional growth of trainees through teaching and training. With a strong focus on collaboration, safety and best practice, you’ll help shape the future of medical physics within the network while making a tangible impact on the health and wellbeing of patients and the wider community.

About You

You are a highly skilled and motivated Medical Physicist who brings strong technical expertise, professional integrity and a collaborative approach to delivering high-quality radiation oncology services. You will have:

  • Recognised tertiary qualifications in physics or engineering, with postgraduate training in Medical Physics, and appropriate professional certification.

  • Eligibility for South Australian licensing to perform calibration, quality assurance and radiation safety procedures in radiation oncology.

  • Strong knowledge of medical physics principles, including quality assurance, radiation protection, linear accelerator operations and planning algorithms.

  • Demonstrated experience in providing effective radiation therapy physics services, with the ability to educate, supervise and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
