Are you a dedicated and skilled Cook with a passion for maintaining high standards in food production? Port Lincoln Hospital is looking for a motivated individual to join our team and play a key role in providing nutritious meals to our patients and staff.
About the Role: As the Cook at Port Lincoln Hospital, your primary responsibility will be to uphold the highest standards in food production and distribution. You will oversee the ordering of non-imprest food supplies, meticulously plate meals, assist with menu selections, and ensure that quality control measures are consistently applied. Your role is crucial in ensuring that every meal served meets our rigorous standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the ordering and inventory of non-imprest food supplies to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked and operational.
- Prepare and plate meals with precision and attention to detail, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist in developing and selecting menus that cater to dietary requirements and preferences while maintaining nutritional standards.
- Apply rigorous quality control measures to all aspects of food production and distribution.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
- Report directly to the Business Manager on a day-to-day basis, with ultimate responsibility to the Business Operations Manager.
