About the Role
Be part of a dedicated Facilities and Maintenance team supporting Clare Hospital and Lower North Health Services, including Burra, Balaklava, Snowtown, and Riverton. As a Maintenance Officer in our casual pool, the successful applicant will provide high-quality, efficient, and effective facilities maintenance and repairs across a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertaking preventative and breakdown maintenance and repairs on plant, equipment, and buildings in line with organisational and legislative requirements.
- Ensuring the installation and maintenance of equipment meets regulations and standards.
- Accurate record keeping of maintenance activities and compliance documentation.
- Maintaining grounds, gardens, and supporting waste management activities.
- Promoting and maintaining a safe working environment in line with Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation.
- Liaising professionally with staff, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders as required.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and disaster/emergency response preparation.
Highly Regarded
- Trade qualification or significant experience in a maintenance/trade role.
- Experience working in healthcare or similar large facility environments.
- Knowledge of chemical, safety, and infection control principles.
- Experience in quality systems and continuous improvement.
