Are you an enthusiastic Allied Health Assistant looking to join a highly experienced interdisciplinary Allied Health team?
As an Allied Health Assistant with the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network, you'll have the exciting opportunity to work across diverse clinical areas such as FMC's Ambulatory, Allied Health Services and General Medicine and the Stroke Unit. This variety ensures every shift brings new learning experiences as you support patients throughout different stages of their healthcare journey, from acute recovery to end-of-life care. Your versatile role will see you adapting to different patient needs and clinical environments, making you an invaluable member of our multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
About the role:
Some of your duties as the AHA3 Allied Health Assistant may involve:
- Monitoring patient response to therapies and reporting to the supervising AHP.
- Accurately maintain therapy related databases and patient documentation under the explicit direction of the supervising AHP.
- Provide comprehensive education to patients/groups of patients as directed by AHP staff on a defined range of topics.
- Assisting patient preparation for therapy and at the conclusion of therapy.
- Delivery of equipment to patients, that has been prescribed by an AHP.
About you:
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, or equivalent.
- Sound time management, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment to assist patient therapy and / or handling of patient related equipment and devices.
- Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards.
