About the role
As a Night Shift Medical Scientist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality diagnostic services in a dynamic laboratory environment. You will apply your scientific and technical expertise to perform routine diagnostic techniques, review results, and contribute to problem-solving, method development, and the evaluation of new procedures. This role offers the opportunity to prioritise work according to clinical urgency, exercise professional judgement, and ensure accurate and timely results that directly support patient care.
In addition to hands-on testing, you will assist with equipment maintenance, inventory control, and safe specimen handling, while participating in the training of staff and supporting laboratory operations. You will liaise with colleagues and clients regarding specimen enquiries, test results, and scientific or technical challenges, contributing to a collaborative and professional team environment during night hours. About You
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Medical Scientist with a strong foundation in laboratory science and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely diagnostic results.

Bachelor of Science or Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent.

Ability to perform high-quality diagnostic testing and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.

Effective team player with strong communication skills and proactive problem-solving.

Experience with laboratory computing, analytical equipment, and standard quality procedures.
