About the Role
RN-1 In this rewarding role, you will provide person-centred nursing care in a supportive mental health setting, working closely with consumers, their families and a range of health professionals. As you grow from a developing practitioner to a confident and capable nurse, you’ll consolidate your skills through ongoing learning and experience, while embracing accountability for your own standards of care and delegated activities. Guided by the National Mental Health Policy and Standards, and supported by senior mental health nurses, you will deliver comprehensive nursing, case management, education and counselling services, all aimed at promoting recovery and enhancing consumer wellbeing.
RN-2 As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality mental health nursing care across a variety of settings within the Mental Health Directorate. With your experience and expertise, you’ll provide comprehensive nursing and case management to consumers, while also supporting the growth and development of less experienced staff. This role offers the opportunity to consolidate your professional practice, contribute to education, counselling and group work, and participate in clinical teaching, research or wider service improvement projects aligned with MHD priorities. Guided by the National Mental Health Policy and Standards, and working in collaboration with consumers, families, and multidisciplinary teams, you will help shape recovery-focused care that reflects the vision and values of SA Health.
