An exciting opportunity exists within the Physiotherapy team for a graduate Physiotherapist to join us, working in a full-time capacity!
The Southern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking to engage skilled and motivated Physiotherapy Graduates within the Division of Rehabilitation, Aged and Palliative Care.
As the Physiotherapist, you will provide physiotherapy services to Rehabilitation, Aged and Palliative (RAP) patient service areas. You will be responsible for the assessment and management of patients which results in improved patient care and outcomes. This role is particularly suited for Physiotherapists early in their career, where you will have the opportunity to work alongside a highly skilled team of healthcare professionals to further your professional development.
About the role:
The Physiotherapist will provide support to the Rehabilitation, Aged and Palliative patient service areas and will be involved in providing assessment and management of patients.
Duties for the role will include:
- Gain and maintain experience across clinical areas by participating in physiotherapy roster rotations within the Physiotherapy Department, the hospital and the community.
- Participate in provision of co-ordinated health care by liaising with medical, nursing and other professional staff regarding patient care in meetings, ward rounds, clinics and providing written reports or other communications.
- Provide appropriate, safe and effective physiotherapy management (assessment and treatment) of patients referred within the scope of the Rehabilitation Aged and Palliative (RAP) division physiotherapy services, including hydrotherapy.
- Ensure relevant physiotherapy information is provided by maintaining records (case notes and departmental) and statistical system in accordance with departmental guidelines.
About you:
- Evidence of experience in a training program sufficient to develop necessary skills to deliver high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards.
- Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of personnel and maintain effective work relationships, such as the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team situation.
- Physiotherapy skills in assessment and management of a broad range of conditions.
