About the role:
Ward 18V is an acute inpatient unit for older people with mental health problems. The unit provides treatment and support for people living in the southern metropolitan Adelaide area and some country areas. It is a 30-bed unit that is divided into two separate areas - the General Unit and the High Dependency Unit. Click here to find out more Mental Health Professionals Recruitment.
This is a single vacancy, with two possible appointment classifications. The successful applicants will be appointed in the position appropriate to their skills, qualifications, and experience.
To be considered for the RN2C (Clinical Nurse) level you must have at least three years, full time equivalent, post registration experience with experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.
About you:
- Effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing/Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and who holds a current practicing certificate. Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice
- Demonstrated competence in mental health nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards
- Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards
