Overview
Experience all facets of Podiatry, in a rare opportunity to grow and expand services, particularly for patients with high-risk foot, as an experienced Podiatrist, within a dynamic, energetic and growing allied health team.
About the role
- Work in one of the largest Allied Health teams outside of metropolitan Adelaide.
- We are in the unique position for growing podiatry service provision. This is an opportunity to dream big and set up innovative practice. We seek an experienced Podiatrist to lead the re-establishment of high quality and enviable podiatry service.
- The Clinical Senior Podiatrist works within a multidisciplinary team, with close links particularly with Community Nursing and Physiotherapy.
- The position predominantly supports outpatient services for patients with diabetic management, nail surgery, wound management, skin and nail pathology, orthotic prescription, podopaediatrics, palliative care, biomechanics, education and health promotion. Mt Gambier has close links with the High-Risk Foot Clinic and Vascular Clinic in Flinders Medical Centre, with significant potential to grow this relationship to support best practice models.
- Based in the rural city of Mount Gambier, and coordinates and supports outreach services to 6 regional towns within the Limestone Coast.
- Potential to grow Podiatry undergraduate placement clinics.
- Potential to grow the Allied Health Assistant workforce to support innovative service delivery and well-established Basic Nail Clinics and expand into Residential Aged Care.
- Potential to grow innovative telehealth models of care.
- Direct support from the Advanced Clinical Lead Podiatrist and Regional Manager of Allied Health.
- Utilise a combination of preventative, early intervention, treatment, and evaluation approaches to provide clinical services.
About You
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Enjoys new experiences and looking to join a welcoming and social team
- Experience is essential, with demonstrated ability to lead others through change.
- Must hold a recognised qualification in Podiatry and be eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check and compliant immunisation screening
