Join Our Team as a Housekeeping Services Assistant!

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Housekeeping Services Assistant to support the catering and cleaning operations within our health unit.

As a Services Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our health unit operates smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include preparing and delivering meals, performing general housekeeping duties, and assisting with laundry services.  From helping in the preparation, service and delivery of food to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, your contributions will enhance the overall experience for our clients.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve food, including breakfasts, soups, and fast-serve options.
  • Assist with laundry duties, including sorting, washing, and ironing uniforms and linen.
  • Undertake minor sewing repairs and maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Provide general housekeeping services, including high window cleaning and carpet shampooing.
  • Communicate with clients regarding menu preferences and dietary requirements.

Essential Criteria

  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to various work settings and rostering systems.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
  • Respect for confidentiality and ability to maintain discretion.
  • Effective written, verbal, and numeracy skills.
  • No previous experience in catering or housekeeping? No problem! We’ll provide on-the-job training to help you succeed.
