About the Role
As a key member of the Specialty Medicine 2 (SM2) Leadership Team, the Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in coordinating and managing operational activities across all CALHN sites. You will provide support, guidance, and expertise in areas such as service delivery, workforce management, financial performance, facilities and equipment, risk management, and Work Health and Safety, ensuring the program meets its strategic and operational objectives. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality, consistent care while shaping the operational success of a dynamic and evolving service.
In this role, you will work closely with the Program Director to determine strategic direction, operational standards, and objectives for both clinical and administrative services. You will oversee daily activities, monitor outcomes, and have a direct impact on the development and implementation of policies, systems, and processes that drive long-term service sustainability. You will also play a key role in supporting change management initiatives and service improvement strategies, ensuring SM2 continues to deliver excellence for patients, staff, and the wider community.
About you
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic leader who can drive operational excellence and support high-quality public hospital services.

Tertiary qualification in health, business, or project management with strong operational leadership experience.

Proven ability to lead change, collaborate across divisions, and build productive relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Highly developed skills in communication, problem-solving, negotiation, financial management, and data analysis.

Demonstrated capacity to perform in complex, dynamic environments while maintaining optimism, resilience, and a commitment to service excellence.
