We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Officer to join our team in a dynamic and hands-on role supporting research, operational, and project programs. Working independently or as the leader of a large team, you’ll apply your technical knowledge and judgement to deliver practical outcomes across a range of scientific and technical activities. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute meaningfully to innovative pathology testing, applying your expertise to solve problems and improve processes in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
As a key member of the team, you’ll bring a high level of technical competence and supervisory ability, supporting others while also driving your own areas of responsibility. You’ll be responsible for evaluating and recommending equipment, procedures, and processes, and for preparing reports that guide decision-making. Your experience, initiative, and attention to detail will be highly valued as you contribute to the successful delivery of technical outcomes and continuous improvement across our operations.

You are a dedicated and proactive professional with strong technical skills and a commitment to high-quality work. Your background in laboratory operations and ability to collaborate effectively within a team will see you thrive in this role.

Hold a Diploma or Advanced Diploma (or equivalent) in a relevant and recognised technical field.

Demonstrated experience in laboratory environments, with strong skills in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and client service.

Proven ability to supervise, train and support team members while managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with sound knowledge of diagnostic practices, WHS, and quality assurance procedures.
