Play a vital role in providing high-quality emergency care while developing your medical expertise in a supportive and dynamic environment at Riverland General Hospital.

About the Role:

As a Resident Medical Officer (RMO), you will be responsible for the day-to-day care of patients within the Emergency Department under the supervision of the ED Consultant. You will manage patient care with skill and diligence, ensure accurate and timely documentation, and maintain open communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members to support the delivery of safe and effective clinical care.

In this role, you will continually develop your clinical knowledge and procedural skills, refine your communication and counselling techniques, and strengthen your understanding of ethical and legal considerations in medical practice. You will be encouraged to attend regular teaching sessions, contribute to postgraduate medical education, and provide mentorship and feedback to junior medical staff.

You will also play a key role in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives, participating in audits, accreditation processes, and risk management activities that promote safe, patient-centred care. What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner (General Registration).
  • As per recognised undergraduate medical program. Must have completed Internship.

Applicant Information

Indicative Total Remuneration (TIRP) includes award salary, professional development, Super, and Leave Loading.

You must be trained or currently located in Australia.
