About the role

The Medical Records Coordinator will coordinate and contribute to the provision of a comprehensive efficient, effective, responsive confidential Medical Record Service.

Key duties of the role

  • Contribute to the development of quality information and communication strategies that support the Medical Record service and staff.
  • Provide orientation, training and ongoing education of staff and coordination of workload for direct reports.
  • Work collaboratively with Patient Registration to ensure a cohesive interfaced operational service is provided.
  • Facilitate the organisation’s response for coronial directions.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven ability to analyse, evaluate and apply information to support operations.
  • Excellent communication and high-level interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with consumers, staff, external agencies and member s of the public.
  • Experience in staff management.
