About the role
As a Senior Pharmacist, you will lead the organisation, management and daily operation of a designated pharmacy area, contributing to the delivery of a high-quality and patient-centred pharmacy service. You will utilise your advanced clinical knowledge and independent professional judgement to provide comprehensive medicines information, therapeutic guidance and pharmaceutical care to patients, medical and nursing staff, and other health professionals. Your role will support safe and effective medication practices in alignment with hospital policies, divisional procedures and professional standards.
You will play a key role in optimising patient outcomes through the quality use of medicines, applying evidence-based strategies to ensure safe, cost-effective and best-practice pharmaceutical care. Working as part of a collaborative and supportive pharmacy team, you will champion clinical excellence, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and support the development of a high-performing pharmacy service that consistently delivers outstanding care to the community.

In this role, you will bring:

Qualifications & Professional Registration
Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and current or eligible registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia. -
Clinical & Analytical Capability
Extensive hospital pharmacy experience with strong research, data analysis, clinical problem-solving skills and the ability to work accurately in complex environments. -
Leadership & Collaboration
Proven leadership and supervisory experience, with the ability to support, educate and guide both professional and non-professional staff while working effectively within multidisciplinary teams. -
Technical Knowledge & Professional Standards
Demonstrated competence in pharmacy practice, with comprehensive knowledge of relevant codes, standards and service delivery frameworks.
