HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?

  • Deliver evidence-based assessment, intervention, and support services across mental health settings, tailored to consumer, family, and community needs.
  • Provide guidance, supervision, and mentorship to less experienced allied health staff, assistants, and students, promoting safe and effective practice.
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and with external service providers to ensure integrated, person-centred care.
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and community programs to enhance mental health outcomes across the region.

WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW/WHAT IS ESSENTIAL FOR SUCCESS?

Working in this environment, it is important to us that we only employ people with the upmost integrity and commitment to serving the South Australian community and its visitors to the highest possible standards. To ensure that we meet that commitment there are a few checks that you will be required to undertake. These are detailed on the Role Description, but are likely to include the following:

  • You will need to be immunised. Please contact the Enquiries Person for this position if you have any queries. Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy. Further information is in the application for to help guide you. 
  • You will need to undergo employment screening, what you require is also on the front page of the Role Description.
  • You must hold a recognized qualification within the professions of Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work.
    • For Occupational Therapy, you must hold a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and as a regulated profession be eligible for registration as an occupational therapist within Australia.
    • For Psychology, you must hold general registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. Clinical endorsement with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or eligible and willing to participate in AHPRA Clinical Psychology Registrar Program is desirable.
    • For Social Work, you must hold a recognised qualification within the Social Work profession and be eligible for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Must have participated on ongoing professional development in line with AASW guidelines.
