Medical & Dental Credentialling Officer - Shape Healthcare Excellence

Join SA Health as a Medical & Dental Credentialling Officer and ensure our healthcare professionals meet the highest standards through comprehensive credentialling processes. This part-time contract position offers the opportunity to support medical and dental practitioners whilst maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements until November 2026. Work with a dedicated team in Adelaide's southern suburbs and contribute directly to healthcare excellence across the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network.

About the role: 

Reporting to the Manager, this role is responsible for assisting in the timely and accurate processing of credentialling and recredentialling documentation for all medical and dental practitioners who are engaged within SALHN.

Duties for the role will include:

• Coordinate the credentialling process for medical and dental practitioners by providing efficient administration of the Medical & Dental Credentialling Committee and the documentation of related outcomes,
• Application of SALHN procedures and SA Health Policy when reviewing credentialling applications,
• Liaise with applicants to ensure all information is provided in a timely manner,
• Ensure the online SA Health Credentialling and Scope of Clinical Practice System for health practitioners is accurately updated with all relevant details.
• Liaising with clinicians who are applying for Credentialling and Scope of clinical Practice to ensure accurate and complete documentation is provided to the committee,
• Provide administrative support to the credentialling records management system ensuring all documents used to support, review and approve of applications, or otherwise, are managed and recorded appropriately

• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced co-operative work environment whilst remaining flexible,
  proactive and efficient,
• Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritise high volumes of work whilst meeting designated timeframes,
• Demonstrated ability in handling sensitive and confidential matters,
• Demonstrated ability to analyse problems and provide appropriate solutions,
• Experience in dealing with health professionals,
• Experience in undertaking projects and report production
• Experience in developing working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, specifically clinicians, head of units, managers and administration staff
