About the Role:
As Senior Psychologist, you will play a pivotal role in assessing and diagnosing complex developmental delays and neurodevelopmental disorders, including ASD and FASD. You will:
- Provide expert psychological assessments and prepare clear, evidence-based diagnostic reports.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimise outcomes for children and families.
- Offer consultancy and advice to allied health and medical professionals.
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and research initiatives.
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to staff and students.

About You:
You are a highly skilled and passionate psychologist who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. You bring:
Qualifications:
- A degree in Psychology with current registration through the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Approved supervisor status at all levels (primary and secondary).
Experience:
- Extensive experience assessing and managing children with developmental and neurodevelopmental disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.
- A strong background in paediatric psychology and complex case management.
Skills & Attributes:
- Advanced clinical expertise in child development and neuropsychology.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage families and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Leadership capability, including mentoring and supervising staff and students.
- Strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
Desirable:
- Postgraduate qualifications in clinical, educational/developmental, or neuropsychology.
- Experience administering ASD diagnostic tools (e.g., ADOS-2).

The Gordon McKay Child Development Unit at LMH provides a service to assess and support children with developmental concerns. Our team works with children who have challenges in three or more areas of development and who have not yet been formally assessed.
