About the Role
As a Senior Speech Pathologist, you’ll provide expert speech pathology services within CALHN’s acute care setting, focusing on critical care and trauma patients with complex communication and swallowing disorders. Lead, mentor and collaborate with a dynamic team while advocating for patient-centred care.
• Deliver high-quality services to critical care and trauma patients
• Lead and supervise speech pathologists, assistants and students
• Drive clinical education and professional development
• Represent Speech Pathology on committees and working groups
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
About You
We’re looking for a skilled and dedicated Senior Speech Pathologist with a passion for patient-centred care and clinical excellence. If you have the right qualifications and a strong ability to lead and collaborate, we’d love to hear from you.
• Degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent, eligible for SPA membership
• Experience in complex, high-acuity patient care and multi-disciplinary teams
• Ability to manage diverse clinical cases with sound judgement and flexibility
• Proven leadership in supervising staff and promoting team collaboration
• Excellent communication skills, with a focus on respect and inclusion
