  • Salary: AHP2 $91,785 - $106,330 p.a (pro rata) + Superannuation + Leave Loading + Salary Sacrifice Benefits
  • Ongoing role working 30 hours per fortnight over a 5-day roster 

 

WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?

This role offers the opportunity to join a dedicated Palliative Care team within the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network (BHFLHN), delivering high-quality, person-centred services to people with life-limiting illnesses. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the planning, delivery, and evaluation of therapy and support programs that enhance the overall well-being of clients.

You will have the chance to develop your clinical expertise, contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives, and support the supervision and mentoring of less experienced allied health staff and students. Working collaboratively with internal and external partners, you will play a vital role in ensuring integrated, responsive, and contemporary palliative care services across the local community.

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred occupational therapy to clients receiving palliative care.
  • Plan, implement and evaluate individualised therapy programs in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Support and mentor less experienced staff and students.
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement and evaluation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure integrated care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in line with organisational and professional standards.

WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW/WHAT IS ESSENTIAL FOR SUCCESS?

Working in this environment, it is important to us that we only employ people with the upmost integrity and commitment to serving the South Australian community and its visitors to the highest possible standards.   • You will need to be immunised. Please contact the Enquiries Person for this position if you have any queries. Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy. Further information is in the application for to help guide you. 
  • You will need to undergo employment screening, what you require is also on the front page of the Role Description.
  • You must hold a recognised qualification within Occupational Therapy and be eligible for practicing membership of the relevant Professional Association.
