Art Therapist – Connecting Through Creativity
Join the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) and contribute to end-of-life care through the arts, creativity and culture.
As an Art Therapist within the Southern Adelaide Palliative Service, based at Flinders Medical Centre, you will deliver compassionate, person-centred therapy to patients and their families while developing and evaluating innovative programs that support wellbeing and quality care. Working as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team, you will contribute to education, research and service development while fostering an inclusive, creative and positive environment for all.
About you:
- Appropriate higher education qualification in Art Therapy and eligibility for Professional Registration with the Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapy Association (ANZACATA)
- Proven organisational skills including the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, delegate appropriately and demonstrate initiative
- Experience in the planning, implementation and evaluation of Art Therapy interventions and programs
- Understanding of the sensitivity and stress factors associated with working within a hospital or special needs environment
- Significant experience working with people of varying ages and diverse cultures
