This part-time, short-term contract position (ending 12 December 2026) offers an exceptional opportunity for experienced theatre nurses to shape the future of perioperative nursing education in the Eyre Peninsula.

About the Opportunity

We seek a Theatre, Post Anaesthetic Care Unit, Day of Surgery Admission, Endoscopy, or Anaesthetic experienced Registered Nurse to join our Education and Workforce Development team. You will provide crucial support to staff, including graduate nurses, through face-to-face, on-ground, and virtual supervision that promotes reflective, evidence-based practice improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver nursing services across various health service settings with consolidated experience
  • Support staff development from competent to proficient practitioners
  • Provide agreed communication and supervision plans for experience sharing and problem solving
  • Accept accountability for practice standards and guidance of less experienced staff
  • Support Nurse Educators, Unit Managers, and Nurse Managers through portfolio management
  • Maintain predominantly clinical focus while managing educational responsibilities
