About the Role
Step into a leadership role where you support nursing teams and shape high-quality care. You’ll help guide practice, manage resources, and foster a positive, collaborative ward environment.
Key duties
• Support the Nurse Unit Manager in day-to-day ward leadership
• Guide and develop nursing staff to build capability and confidence
• Assist with staffing, rostering, leave and work allocation
• Contribute to practice changes and service improvement initiatives
• Monitor budgets, supplies and resources to maintain smooth operations
About You
You are a confident and supportive nurse leader who thrives in a collaborative environment. You bring clinical expertise and a passion for guiding teams to deliver high-quality care.
• Registered Nurse with current NMBA practising certificate
• Skilled in acute and chronic nursing practice and standards
• Experienced in supervising and developing nursing staff
• Strong communication, problem solving and teamwork skills
• Knowledgeable in quality systems, legislation and healthcare policy
