About the role
As Nurse Unit Manager, Nuclear Medicine, you will provide pivotal leadership and coordination of nursing care across SA Medical Imaging Nuclear Medicine services. Using your expert clinical knowledge, you will lead and support nursing practice across five sites, setting clear standards that ensure safe, consistent and high-quality patient care aligned with the SA Health quality framework.
Based in Adelaide CBD initially, this role works closely with local Radiology Nurse Unit Managers to support day-to-day operations while providing Statewide leadership. You will play a key role in shaping and expanding nuclear medicine nursing practice, including the growth of PET services, fostering a positive learning culture, strengthening team capability, and ensuring effective resource management to deliver excellent outcomes for patients and staff alike.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will be a confident and experienced nursing leader with strong clinical credibility and a passion for building high-performing teams and safe, person-centred care across Nuclear Medicine and Medical Imaging services.
• Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration and a current practising certificate
• Proven leadership skills with strength in communication, problem solving and change
• Demonstrated management experience with the ability to develop and support staff
• Strong clinical knowledge of Medical Imaging or Nuclear Medicine nursing, aligned to NSQHS standards
