About the Role
As Manager Social Work, you’ll be a key member of the social work department leadership structure. Your expertise will shape our single service, multi-site model within CALHN. You’ll provide strong clinical leadership, create clear standards and drive safe, high-quality care. Working closely with the Director, Senior Managers and other allied health managers, you’ll influence service direction and support patient-centred practice.
Key duties
• Support operational social work teams across sites and services
• Set practice standards, policy and clinical governance
• Drive service quality, safety and improvement
• Partner with clinical leaders and key stakeholders
• Support workforce planning, education and research
• Manage complex cases and deputise for senior leaders as required
About You
You’re a skilled and inspiring social work leader who thrives on collaboration, high-quality care and developing teams across multiple sites. Your experience and expertise help drive safe, innovative and patient-centred services.
• Hold an accredited social work degree and eligibility for full AASW membership
• Lead teams with collaboration, guidance and constructive feedback
• Apply clinical expertise across complex social work practice
• Develop policies, standards and procedures to improve services
• Use project, budget and HR knowledge to deliver results
